France Volontaires [fr]
France Volontaires is the French platform for international exchange and solidarity volunteering. Operated by the Ministry of Europe and Foreign Affairs, it brings together the State, local authorities and associations in a mission of general interest: the development and promotion of international volunteering for exchange and solidarity.
The Ghana Volunteer Centre, located in the Alliance Française in Accra, provides support and guidance to people interested in volunteering, volunteers (Civic Service, VSI, interns, volunteers, retired people, young people on work placements, etc.) and International Voluntary Exchange and Solidarity structures. The Representation advises, supports, networks and trains those involved, and promotes and develops volunteering. It is also a space open to volunteers and structures with access to documentation and training.
As of December 2023, 160 French volunteers were registered as having worked in Ghana and 15 Ghanaians had carried out voluntary missions in France.
