The Francophonie Fair
Different cultural performances and exhibitions of different countries, kept Saturday, March 19, alive by Francophonie member countries present here in Ghana, making spectators travel around the world especially in Africa without leaving Alliance Française.
Many countries had stands: Benin, Burkina Faso, Canada, Central African Republic, Congo, DR Congo, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Guinea, Mali, Niger, Senegal, Chad, and Togo. They exhibited their craft, music, fashion, food and dances (traditional and modern), as these would enable visitors/spectators demystify their cultures. Mali was adjudged the “the best cultural performance” of the day.
Also present at this year’s event, were institutions mandated to promote the French language and culture in Ghana, such as RFI Club Accra, University of Ghana French Club, Ghana institute of languages etc. who also took part in the cultural diversity with their performances.
