Bordeaux Delegation : Day by Day

A French delegation from the municipality of Bordeaux has arrived in Ghana for a week of visits and meetings with the Ghanaian authorities, the business community and universities.

Thursday February 11th
On the occasion of their visit in Ghana, the French delegation from Bordeaux met the President Mahama at the Flagstaff House. It was an opportunity to discuss economic and academic cooperation prospects

Wednesday February 10th
The French delegation visited the Ashesi University and got to discover its leading role in the devlopment of the numeric sector in Ghana. They then travelled for the afternoon to the Ashanti region, in Mampong, where they visited several sites.

Tuesday February 9th
The week has begun with the opening forum, attended by high rank personalities with the Vice-President Amissah-Arthur, the CEO of the GIPC, the French Ambassador to Ghana and the Ghana Ambassador to France, after which the members of the French delegation got to discuss with their Ghanaians counterparts on potential cooperation and partnerships. These B to B meetings come as a follow up from the previous engagements drawn from the previous Ghanaian delegation visit to France.

The Bordeaux delegation for a multi-sectoral mission is composed of about twenty people including the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bordeaux (CCI), the Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux in charge of partnerships with sub-Saharan Africa, the Mayor of the town of Saint-Emilion, fifteen companies and academics.

Monday February 8th
The visit is at the invitation of HE President John Mahama. It follows the visit of the President of Ghana in France in October 2015, during which he also visited Bordeaux.

The Bordeaux delegation for a multi-sectoral mission is composed of about twenty people including the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Bordeaux (CCI), the Deputy Mayor of Bordeaux in charge of partnerships with sub-Saharan Africa, the Mayor of the town of Saint-Emilion, fifteen companies and academics.
